The private Message sythem works great!

But we really need a chat though.
it sucks to check all my posts if someone replys.

you mean like IRC? that would require an IRC server. dunno how easy that is to set up but I don't think it will be as easy as it seems..
idea is nice though . it would require more active ppl on the forums tho. over 4000 registered members, but only a handfull who actually post on the forum and reply actively...

You could do it over IRC and install a java-spplet for the people who don't want to download (or don't know how to work with) mIRC.

what about a irc channel?

that would require a server aswell. we could use an existing server but it would need to be moderated 24/7 either by a bot or by moderators. in any case you wouldn't want to lose the rights to the channel to some wacko.
an existing server (like Undernet for instance) could attract more visitors aswell. could work nicely, but I wonder what the responce is from the current visitors. I personally think most ppl visit the site to see the chicks, only a handfull who actually post here on the forums, who participate in any way.
I do like the idea however, perhaps a poll is appropriate?

I have another server with IRC on it.. but some problems with it, that's why we disconnected it.. The IRC Server connected very slow.. it took a user almost 30 seconds to connect, this duel a resolve DNS problem.... I and the admin of the server have worked a long time on it but couldn't find a fix for it. Server is FreeBSD... Anyone suggestions?

i dont know how this works, but what about about an irc channel moderatet by a bot?
arent they for free?
