I would like to see a classifieds forum where people can sell/trade stuff.

Classified?? Tell me what you mean with that, and what should people trade/sell?

i believe he's talking about a the general type of classifieds section. I'm not sure what that type of section is called in europe but it's similar to something like "ebay" but not an auction. If someone has something to sell, he/she will post what they are selling with the price or say to make an offer. Any interested party will reply with questions about the item or the desire to buy it. The seller and interested party will then work something out in terms of payment and exchanging mailing info. There is a risk involved with doing this type of thing online but it all comes down to the people taking part in it. There are also "escrow" types of services, if a deal takes place the buyer can send money to the escrow service which will hold it until the seller sends the item to the buyer, once the buyer receives and agrees to finalize the deal the escrow service will then send the payment to the seller. But it ain't free, the escrow service will probably take a percentage or fee of some sort. Sounds like a good idea, but again it comes down to the honesty of the people taking part.

Yeah i used to mod on a forum where they had a buy/sell forum, and there was hardly any posting going on and if there was it was of shady people who made their first post there.
