Blacklisted !!!!

I understand that some commercial sites may request to be blacklisted but I dont generally understand why a site would be blacklisted and why its a secret (see faq). I did read the faq but I dont really get why some photo hosting sites are blacklisted and others arent or why some file servers are others arent. Can you help me see the light? Not a life or death just curious.

Reason to blacklist a page:

x Spam attacks came from that page
x Popup hell
x Members make money by hosting pics their and get paid for each click
x Known for having pro material only there

Yea see doesnt make sense. Megaupload and I think imageshack are blacklisted, neither have popups, there not pay throughs, theres no pro b/c its a user host site and I cant see spam attack from a host site. ?

imageshack has asked us to blacklist them. dunno what happened to megaupload as i am no blacklist mod. but as far as i know uploaders get points for downloads from megaupload and can change in the points for money from a certain level on.

One picturehosting website launched a shitbunch of trojans and other malware. So it was blacklisted by a good reason. Kanzen knows this stuff better than us here, so I'll let him explain. But it's there for protecting us getting harmed.

Wow I had no idea. Didnt know about the money from mega either. Def ban the malware crap even tho it is a cool prefix.

Rapidshare has a similar system. but it wont get you paid just extends your premium membership

and yeah i really love the grey-, black- and whitelisting system. Kanzen and Diz did a fucking good job with that!

white listing is the exact oposite of blacklisting. you may have seen pople with less then 100 posts posting vids from rapidshare as this site is white listed

i wont post more shit, since it has all been answered allready.

but if you need hosting sites, use imagevenue, imagebeaver, imagehosting etc...youll find alot on google
