avatar troubles...

hello all. im new here, can you tell?? i was trying to upload an avatar, 100 by 75 pixels, like 7500 bytes, jpeg...blah blah blah...system tells me its the wrong type of file...any ideas?

really? no one has any idea?!?

change it to a jpeg.

it is a jpeg...which is why im so confused, most sites require that or a gif...thanks though...anyone else??

Delete then resave and try again.

just tried that....didnt work....thanks again!!

Ive had a little trouble with mine as well. I find that if you delete current avi (even if there isnt one), then save, then come back and upload new, then save again, now it may not show up. Mine sometimes takes 48 hours to show up. I know its not the greatest advice but it works for me.

Simply ask for a new avy here

I seem to be having a bit of this problem myself. I can get the 100x100 size to load almost immediately without deleting the previous one. Yet when I try to get the Max allowed of 270x100 it won't let me update it. I will keep trying though, and give it the 48 hour wait. THX!

after uploading your new avatar, you should press F5 on your keybpoard. Emptying the cache and showing your NEW avatar. It should not ever take more than a few seconds for your new avatar to show.

in regards to the original poster..
have you got the avatar you want to use handy? if you do...upload it to this thread in a post so i can take a look at it.
