avatar resize

One of our members requested me to post a message. Please help him:

"I need help with re-sizing my avatar. I've been trying to re-size a new avatar I created to the limitations set for uploading to this site. I'm using Adobe photoshop CS 1 to do my editing and or some stupid reason it won't do exactly what I want to do with it. Could you suggest any other programs that myself could use to easily re-size the dimensions of the pic I'm wanting to make in to an avatar? Maybe software that yourself or other members are using? Thank you for your help."

Use Photoshop, when your done - after u make sure it is the correct pixel size.. go to File | Save for Web & Devices Then save it as a gif... shouldn't have any problems with the size. Just make sure it's less than 16K.

I'm using CS3, I'm guessing it's the same with CS 1... Shouldn't be too difficult.
