Anyone else having trouble with the site today? Pages opening very slooooow if at all. Also have been getting a lot of web site not responding errors when trying to switch between forum threads, and many red X's in forum posts. Anyone else?

Ok. Just wanted to make sure problem wasnt on my end. Only on 56K dial up, but I never have this much trouble with the site. Actually the site is usually pretty zippy. All my other regular sites seem fine. Sounds like a job for Diz-X.

There is a possiblity that there might be bandwidth issues with most of the ISP servers since the Mydoom/Novarg worm running rampant. Heh, Windows struck again for its bad security precautions and methods.

SPhtman: This is a linux machine
About the problems, it had something to do with the mysql upgrade but is fixed now. (We where running on another database(very slow database) while upgrading mysql 3.x towards 4.x). Should give more stability.

Diz-X: Glad to hear its on Linux. But I was refering to the actual bandwidth being consumed by those sending DDOSs and sending emails flooding all the pipelines from the virus. Since Windows 95-XP is by far the most prone, and susceptible to viruses, worms, trojans, backdoors, and other vunerabilities.
Good thing WBW is running on good hardware, linux with php and mysql. Maybe a move to some Apple Xserve G5s with an Xraid and you'll all be set.

You know what you must do Diz-X: pimp out wbw members for a tidy sum. Just make sure before giving em out that you give them some protection. Like a baseball bat and a taser.
