Altered/photoshopped photos help

Hi all,

I recently had a solid number of photos rejected from queue due to being altered or photoshopped. A few i can recognize and defer to the mods, but some are my own photos or not altered to my knowledge, and as such it was a little alarming to have so many rejected at once. Is there any way to double check or get some clarification? Thanks.

It happens to us all....it is weird though that they can't tell. I don't know how to photoshop, but I also have been accused of it. I had someone write me a mean message from WBW telling me that they don't like my votes and preceded to deny all my pics and vids for awhile. But you have to remember, they're letting us enjoy some quality pics and vids.

the same thing happens to me. in my case I had altered the photos, but I only increased the brightness so that they could look better since I took them at night and they rejected them for being photoshopped

Yeah, i figure it's not the biggest deal long term but a bummer that i can't share some pics with you guys as a result.

Unless you’re talking about photos you’ve taken yourself, having an image denied due to it being altered doesn’t necessarily mean YOU were the one that altered it. Sometimes a quick reverse image search reveals the upload is a cropped version of a larger photo, so it’s rejected on that basis (just an example).

If you are referring to photos that you took yourself, then certainly contact me with any queries and I can double-check for you. Mistake can be made, we’re only human.

I also had this problem with my own photos. I did alter them from the originals, I rotated and cropped them to make them more mobile friendly. Doing this led to abnormal pixel dimensions and were auto-rejected because of it. I scaled them all down to a "normal" size and 9/10 were accepted. One photo was still rejected for the Photoshop reason though.

There is no need to crop/resize images to make them mobile friendly. This will result in weird image dimensions, lower quality when our system adjusts it.

To be honest it's just personal preference. The originals are often at weird angles, I prefer to straighten the photos as much as possible and crop out the rest of the environment. Since I recently began sharing here I've started trying to reduce the editing to avoid the auto-reject algorithm.
