Hi all. Are these updates the reason that downloading movies no longer works?

Ok I see that you can download them now but there are extra steps. It used to be "click on the download button and it downloads" now I have to go to the screen and choose a type.

Yes, downloads of the original file from the list page are broken, but only starting from # 99370. Older ones still work. The "MP4 Original" button on the movie page downloads a smaller recompressed version, which you can compare and see for yourself on the older movies.

when I download the movies that have mp4 on them they won't play.. a pop-up says that my windows media player isn't responding.. I can play all the movies tha don't have the mp4 on them with no problem.. I can also play all videos elsewhere on my computer with no problem..i'm just wondering if all the movies are gonna be in the mp4 format.. if they are then i'm screwed royally.. I had no problem playing any movies until the powers that be decided to fix what wasn't broken.

What video player are you using to open those mp4 ?
mp4 is a standard format nowadays so there shouldn't be an issue with it as long as your codecs are up to date. If not, either update them or chose a video player like VLC that doesn't need pre-installed codecs to work. Then you should be fine
