Personally I didn't take this as a NOOB FLAME!!! As a matter of fact I thought it was very nice,,,, he did advise the NOOB that it would be MORE CORRECT to contribute a little BEFORE asking favors,,,, well done in my book. The fact is there is a certain amount of social protocol to this site and all community based sites. To pretend otherwise is just stupid. I've never been one to pick on the new people making requests though cause it doesn't bother me. Your response unfortunately for you was the stupidest in this thread so far though and has no basis in reality whatsoever. Yeah Sobie was wrong for picking on the new guy making the request but you're just wrong in general.

Assman was just giving some helpful advice. He wasn't saying you can't ask he was just saying that although new members are allowed to make requests it's unlikely anybody is going to go out of their way to help them. These type of threads generally go no where simply because there IS a social protocol to sites like this whether you want to pretend there is or not.
