Cracks me up that this is freaking people out so much. Sure not my thing, but I wouldn't put it in the weirdness category with scat etc.

Interesting how some people carry on the ancient blood-taboos, where people used to think that blood (especially menstrual blood) was somehow "unclean". Then of course, there are cultures in which menstrual blood was considered sacred, an element of the magic that brought forth life.
