How is her posing nude any different than Candace Swanepoel, or any of the younger fashion models that have done nude photo shoots?
As to Moss' argument, where have you been the last 3-4 years. Miley has not based her career on entertaining young girls for at least 3 years. Her new music targets late teen early twenty somethings, like herself. She also follows in the footsteps of many other female activists that try to draw attention to their cause by barely dressing or going nude. Just because she was a child star does not mean she must uphold that persona or ideology for the rest of her life. People age and they change. Be it their views of the world, their views of themselves or their views of their place in the world. Show me one 25-30yr old that still views the world as they did in their teens or as they viewed it as a child. They do not exist, unless they are affected by some sort of handicap such as Down Syndrome, forms of autism or other developmental disorders that prevent them from maturing mentally beyond that of a child or teenager. If she chooses to pose nude for photos or wear skimpy outfits, then she should. It is her life. She is the only one that has to deal with the long term consequences, no one else. And if you think that her antics will inspire more young women (pre-teen through teen ages) to be like her, then I suggest you look at the parents of those young women that do follow Ms. Cyrus' example. If the parents allow such things, then they have only themselves to blame for not raising their child better. If young women, 18yrs of age and older, wish to be like Ms. Cyrus then it is on them not Ms. Cyrus. What is achieved by declaring someone else responsible for the actions of anyone but themselves? Nothing, except that you have told people that they do not need to be accountable for their own actions. That someone else is at fault for what they did, not themselves. If your child does not do their homework, is it the teachers fault? Of course not. If you teenage daughter leaves the house dressed like a hooker or Miley Cyrus, is it the fault of hookers or Miley Cyrus? No, it is the fault of the parent.
