A quick Rapidshare Tutorial

Well, I first up got a Premium Account, and don't have any probs. But, as s/o said b4, just wait, and yes, in most cases it is worth it. Excellent tutorials, and I apprecate all the comments. TY.

Thanks for the tutorial Jolly. It is important to never over estimate the smarts of anyone on this site. I am quite sure that there are several 'big bowls of dumb" out there who need to learn the basics. I know why most people hate rapidshare, and that is the waiting time. I say stop bitching and buy a membership if it bothers you that much. Maybe some of the non-paying members on this site could get together and bone up 9 fucking euros and share the password.
For the record, I don't have a membership at rapidshare, just patience.

instead of having to use proxies and changing your IP... couldnt people just use fileshare systems that dont suck?

Interesting question. I think that most people just don't get the fact that Rapidshare locks out a certian group of people.

Thanks for the tutorial.But my problem is the rar files.After downloading them, I get a link is missing and it will not play the file.wmv files play fine...

You have to use WinRar to unpack the RarFile. If the File is splitted into parts, you need to wait until you hav downloaded all parts and then unpack the .rar file

I have the invalid session ID everytime now, used to be ok but stopped working months ago so its pretty much if I see a topic with rapidshare links I know its not for me, unfortunate because I used to take part more, now Im fairly locked out of everything lol...

Ive seen several other alternatives that are better, people just get bitchy when you ask if they can use them though and defend RS to the death.

I dont care much for the RS because my ISP gives me the same IP address allways I can download and then some times it statet I have to wait 90 min by that time I have lost intrest in it and the .rar I have never got working thanks for the tutorial it has most likely helped others.

Ive got the patience too, the patience to keep trying over and over again to download a clip, typing in the code and everytime getting "INVALID SESSION", but hey I keep doing it you never know ONE DAY it might work lol or it wilkl tell me I have to wait 90 mins (but even that would be good, its still a step forward ..............

I would like to add that by buying a RapidShare account. (if you have the spare $$ that is)

After getting the premium account, they offer you their custom software for d/ling & u/ling files.

Here is a screen shot of it.


Which means you never have to use their site again.

Just open the RS software and add files to be downloaded (you can queue up as many as you want) and then d/l them.

Pretty much the same procedure for uploading. (the software makes a .txt file in the directory you specify with the d/l URLS)

This is one of the main reasons that I use it .... it saves a lot of time.
