You're right. This is indeed a graphical creation. No such car actually exists.

If it did, they might not be going bankrupt.

Dam this brings back memories. I purchase a brand new 1978 Trans Am with this same color. Had great fun in that car.

This car is beautiful. I've not seen another "retro" that looked this incredible. This car is awing in its beauty. I don't even know anything about the engine or anything else. From a stylistic perspective, this car is gorgeous and is easily the most beautiful retro I've seen so far.

This car is sheer artistic brilliance.

General Motors and Pontiac ceased production of the Firebird (including the TransAm)in 2002...There were no serious plans to bring it back in the intervening years, and now that GM has also revealed its plan to discontinue the Pontiac Division altogether (like the fate of Oldsmobile)...it's a certainty that there will be no more Firebirds. I owned two, both Formula models, from the Seventies...they were great little road rockets...'held up better than their sister, the Camaro...Many Camaro owners ragged th' livin' shit out of their Camaros, but Firebird owners seemed to take a bit better care of their machines...It's sad what is happening to GM, but it's also sad how poorly they were managed for so many years, posting record losses as they built and pushed vehicles that many people did not want...they must've thought they were just too big to go down...that they would survive any economic storm...their story of the last few decades is a tragedy...they improved in competition to the Japanese, but the gap was impossible to close, thanks mainly to the UAW and it's arcane and draconic rules...obsolete for decades, but still vehemently enforced...The unions didn't necessarily need to go, but they DID need to grow with the times, and open their eyes to reality...which was beating down the door in the name of Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, Mazda, Mercedes, and others... They were the old dog that didn't think they needed to learn new tricks...now they are responsible for causing the venerable General Motors to fade into the dust bin of history... another American icon lost to the ages.

It's too bad that they probably won't be made since gm is looking to drop them by 2010, but it would be fucking sick if they made them!!!!
