Robert Webster, owner of this 1955 Mercedes 300 SL coupe, that has been in his family since the mid-1970s, decided to modify it to reflect the modifications of the period when they were still popular and viable sports cars rather than collector’s items. A 1959-vintage replacement block (with better oiling), a 1960s crankshaft, and a brand-new cylinder head are just a few of the elements contributing to a 270-hp version of Mercedes Benz’s classic 3.0L SOHC straight-six. Wider 300 Roadster wheels, lowered suspension and Plexiglas windows are some of the other mods.. (From this month's Hemmings Classic Cars).
Entombed, Bilbo02, Snozz_69, unclesomething find this awesome.
