Not web cams. Screen recorders. So that I can record what's going on on my screen and post it in a video. It needs to have a way for me to add voice to it as well. Nothing special mind you. I don't need anything fancy, so something that's "simple but works easily" is ideal.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Oh, free is a bonus, and no, I won't pirate anything so no pirated links/programs/etc. please.

What your looking for is a program called Snag It. Totally free and easy to use, records anything on your screen sound or video.

A friend told me to try hypercam. It works very well, is simple and is totally free.

I have a new question, though.

I just recorded a tutorial for something. It's all of seven minutes and thirty seconds long. Not very big.

But the file is 1.4 fucking gigabites!

How do I make this shit smaller so I can upload it to a web site?

It's an avi file if that makes any difference, but for those of you that make videos, how do you get their sizes down to something a web site can manage?

You can use Windows Movie Maker to export it as a smaller file. OR, you could use Any Video Converter...

Windows movie maker doesn't seem to want to work with AVI files. Am I missing something here?

Am I doing something wrong or does Windows Movie Maker just not work on AVIs?

Bulent's Screen Recorder is free, I use it every blue moon and it works quite well for me. It's easy for me to use and has lots to it.
