I try not to have heros, so I'll go with someone who at least has earned my respect.

With all respect to the "americas heros" that are fighting for there belives.

But hero is someone that's stand out, the best soldier could be a hero. Group of people can't be heros caus that's the norm.
But now a days everyone is a hero, every kid have a trophy of some short, even though you'r not the best.

But people doesn't usually becomes heros until they are dead.
There doings doesn't give them the hero title, history does.

But of course you can have your personal hero

Sorry but just had to say it.

a hero is someone endowed with great strength and courage. any soldier is a hero because they willingly offer their lives so that we may enjoy the freedoms that we do.

My Hero is my mother...she battled a very hard life, raised 4 boys pretty much on her own, and still had time to coach little league when I was younger. Now That's a "HERO"

Well that's true, they are showing heroism.
But I don't consider them as heros, neither firefighter og police officers.
I love what they do, don't misunderstand me...

"a hero is someone endowed with great strength and courage"

That's true, strength and courage that's greater, than most of us have.
There are just simply way to many soldiers, to say that every soldiers courage is bigger than most.

The army might be a hero as a whole, but not the persons them selves.
I would take my hat of, for each and one of them, but they are not heros :/

Mandela, Ghandi, Joan of Arc, William Tell, Davy Crockett, Malcom X...
They are heros, they stand out.
