my name comes from the symbiotic relationship one develops between their online life and their real life. Hopefully a line that one can walk without becoming dominated by one or the other.

Rock in the free world. Not directly from the song of the same name.

Had a manager friend who called me rock because I was playing in a semi-well known local band at the time. When we started opening for the B-list acts coming into town (Molly Hatchet, David Lee Roth, etc) others at work started using it.

In the Free world was added when my ex-wife and I were splitting up. Used it on a dating site that I met a few women on who kept me too pre-occupied to be upset about the divorce.

Even though I am happily remarried to a wonderful woman (whom I met at work not on the site and who was still married at the time ), I keep the username to keep a semblance of privacy.

Here's the old band logo. Stopped playing when our lead guitarist died and haven't ever played with anyone else since.

Mine is from a foreign language class I took with a friend in 7th grade. We each had to pick a name for the year, he picked Pico and I picked Nikos and both nicknames have stuck with us ever since

It has since evolved into ~D4rk~.
