What TFT screen should i buy?

I am thinking about buying a TFT monitor because my old CRT is getting really F#cked up, and giving me a hell of headaces. I was thinkin' about 17" or 18" TFT. What screen is best for the budget i have?

I have a budget of about 600 a 700 euro.

A friend off mine has this 1 [the black version] and it`s great
But then again he play`s mostly games.Iff ya wanna use it mainly desktop stuff imho wait for a price drop.
I myself still use a 17 inch crt monitor ,but going to buy a 22 inch soon.

Hmm.. i mainly use it for scripting, and webdesign.. and sometimes counter strike.. So i need a good TFT screen with good contrast/bightness properties and good reaction time.

i saw a 19" TFT with good contrast brightness but problem with that one 30ms responce time

Well this one has Response Time tr: 12ms + tf: 4ms Typ so a total off 16ms.
My friend also play`s counterstrike and me also
He play`s better with his tft.I played with it as wel and i must say the screen is so mutch brighter than a normal monitor.
Downside off a tft is the dead pixel problem but some producers give a garanty for their tft.
But iff ya wanna buy 1 this 1 is a good monitor

i am thinking of buying a Samsung 19" TFT this because it's one of the best of his kind. And with DVI and Analoog inputs. (Thinking of buying a dual head Matrox card with DVI).

Another thing is Response time of the screen is 25ms. And i played with a Hercules 17" with Response of 30ms, and i didn't see any ghosting.. So think the responce time is good enough for me. Only have to see the Samsung in real life before buying.

i bought a 21" crt from a buddy for $350 american, its the best thing going, it makes gaming so much easier because of all the space the monitor has. everything gets bigger. i would go with a huge crt before i bought a lcd.
