Actually they still exist today, in fact some of my relatives in Grand Rapids (MI) used to have milk delivered, they ended up moving out to the suburbs of GR where it isn't available.

Reservist in Australian Navy, after being full time 1965-1974. Get the occasional call-out of recent, with things like the recent flare up in Fiji. Expect to 'officially retire' on Feb 27, when I turn 60, but tomorrow is 'another day?' I am Special Forces trained which naturally requires 'strenuous duties.' Sort of feel that I am becoming a bit older for this type of thing, but yet? I am no James Bond, and the hours are long, no social life. My life is (when I finish a duty), is to get home and log on to WBW, and see how u other half (?) live! Lost a marriage (naturally) due to committments, but that is part and parcel of what is required of my Branch? Happily settled in with a partner of 29, who wasn't even born when Vietnam started, like let's move on! I enjoy being on here, love the PM's, esp. with guys ex. Vietnam, and try to keep my mouth shut on 'sensitive' topics. Good friends with Latino, and that matters, when it comes to helpful advise and assistance. To u all, a good thread, and it explains 'whom' we are. Makes it better, to noe u.

My Boss and I act as the IT provider for small to mid-sized businesses, everything from network/server maintenance, to phone systems, to web-design. Also have a few home clients. Currently a college student as well.

Used to work at Disneyland as a Supervisor/Trainer on Big Thunder Mountain and also as a Skip on The Jungle Cruise...miss it every day.

I sold my bicycle shop-after 20 years- in 2002.....became a house husband and lived in the Caribbean for the last few years- while wifey was finishing school. We are opening a mobile veterinary clinic later this year. I'm also, ever so slowly, working on my degree in psychology

Work at Harley-Davidson Factory here in Kansas City. But not for to much longer if they don't end the strike in York Pennsylvania. We get our parts from them. They don't work, we dont work. Strike started today friday the 2nd of February. Even though same union, its in our contract that we can't strike here in KC.

Also ex-military-Us Navy. Only 4 years active. 1 year reserve, 3 inactive. It surprises me as well how many military/ex-military are here.
