AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani held talks yesterday with coach Carlo Ancelotti over possible replacements for striker Andrei Shevchenko.

Milan have rejected Sheva's demand for a new contract extension and the Ukraine international is now closer to a move to Chelsea.

Galliani and Ancelotti agreed yesterday that should they sell Shevchenko, who is likely to carry a price-tag of £35 million, they will use the cash raised to beat Barcelona for Arsenal captain Thierry Henry.

Henry's camp has made it known to Milan intermediaries that he is interested in moving to the San Siro as he has concerns over whether he and Ronaldinho could play in the same team together at Barca.
