try double clicking an open area in the tab box this opens a new tab

Sooo... I'm bored with Vista already. Unfortunately there just isn't that much to it that gets you excited. Oh well, guess I'll just use it to look at more naked chicks on WBW.

Thanks, that does work when there is more than one tab already open, but if you are just on the base screen, you still have to CTRL-T to open a new tab. Hope that makes sense.

I have read that more than once in initial reviews of Longhorn..er Vista. Not the more naked chicks part- the not much to get excited about part. In the effort to rush it out (usual from redmond) they left out about 90% of the stuff that was going to convince people to upgrade (once again). I recently read that still more than half of large corp's are still using Win2000 that is 5 years old now (you know that must drive Bill nuts). Depending on the marketing blitz, I don't see people running out and upgrading in mass numbers as before. I could be wrong though....

nzo is right if you ask me. I wrote microsoft pleading them to get me a beta copy ($1000 a year cant be warranted in my budget) threw in the whole i'm an mcse (iam though been out of it for a while now that im a pilot) and would like to try it. They said they'd look in to it.. bla bla bla. but probably not. so then i wrote my old employer. they are testing it as a corp and are gonna get me a copy. will be back here to update after i've installed.
