tagging pictures

why do all my tags appear with a blue tag next to them. Or when I'm not signed in don't appear at all. I want to make more images searchable. Am I doing anything or just wasting my time? Is it because I'm not a paying member?

Tag aren't permanently added if only one person add them. They have to be added by 3 people to really appear for everyone on the picture (appear in red). The tags you see in blue are the ones you added yourself, that's why you don't see them when you're not logged in.

So, even though your contribution is not instantly seen, you are still getting pictures closer to being permanently tagged by adding yours. And you also get credits for that

In the next version of WBW, this system will disappear and only permanent taggers will be able to directly add tags. So if you're still tagging a lot until then, it might be interesting that you become one.

Also, tagging rights have nothing to do with being a paying member.

how can i become a permanent tagger? What qualifies as tagging a lot?

I don't really know how Diz want to make the permanent taggers team work in the future. As for now we don't even have track of all the permanent taggers (some are mods, some aren't).
