i could never get into the whole 'online poker' thing....i like to play with friends every now and then at someones house..
but online? i dont see the enjoyment... for me anyways

In one tournament? A few hundred dollars.

The computer I have now was paid for by mostly poker monies.

i can take on another job and make 1k in about 9-10 hours... so its not an effective way to earn some extra cash..
if i play, i play purely for the entertainment factor, of sitting at a table with some mates, drinking etc and just bullshit each other

Well, yeah, it is entertainment - but it's profitable (albeit at a small level) entertainment.


Other people like to play video games or go to the movies or fuck around on facebook...I play poker.


I could probably actually make more money if I put a lot of time and effort into it (there are people who play it professionally online and make a pretty good living), but it would lose it's fun if I actually HAD to do it. Plus, I think a "real" job is better, since you don't lose your paycheck if you hit an unlucky streak. lol

i have a friend of mine who does it professorially, and i guess he does alright...hes been once to a large comp in Vegas last year
now i think he is playing a tonne of smaller tourneys just so he can save up enough entry fee to the vegas one aswell

he started off online....but then decided to make it a full time thing....
