I have a OCZ Solid 3, OCZ Vertex 3, OWC Mercury Extreme, and a Samsung 830. I would suggest either the Vertex 3 or the Samsung 830.

I'm a fan of WD. The only down side to SSD is that if you're going to pay a lot more for more space. I like SSD's but can justify the price.

Cheers Kanzen, what size would you recommend ?
Edit: I can get an OCZ Vertex 4 128 Gb for about $177.

If you are going with a 120-8GB drive, only put the system files, applications, select games, and caches on it. Put the rest of it (movies, photos, music, documents) on a regular HDD. I recommend going with a 256GB (like my Samsung 830) if you plan on doing a lot of media work as well.

I have 2 60gb Ocz drives, one for the operating system and one for games. Absolutely love the speed and I have had zero issues with the drives in 2+ years.

I agree with Kanzen, the Samsung kicks ass although Vertex is very good as well. But I've had the Samsung for a while now and it works like a charm.
