Last saturday I went off to nosturi, which is located in Helsinki, Finland and is probably one of the most famous clubs in Finland, to see Backyard Babies perform live.
I must say, I wasn't expecting a good show at all, I mean after the few songs that I had heard from this band and the videos on TV, all I though I would get from this night was some poor music and to see some guys with makeup, trying to act punk or rock or whatever.
..WRONG!
The show was one of the best i've ever been to, the songs sounded MUCH better than on any of the records, and the fact that almost everyone in the crowd knew all the songs from before ( except me ) didn't make the feeling any worse
The atmosphere was GREAT, everyone was jumping around like a bunch of animals and there was constantly somebody on the top of everyones hands in the mosh pit.. Definetly one of the BEST live bands i've seen so far. The music was GREAT, the sound was great, the band was great, Nosturi is great...Perfection
I'll write a longer review when I have time, with all the details. Also more reviews on the way within the next few months, Some of the some waht famous bands I will be seing live include SOIA (Sick of it all) and Bad Religion.
