are the pictures on a portable memory or other memory, who was after that delete seqence in use?
means: if the memory card was used and the pics where owerwritten, all is lost

2.
the deleted picture was on a HDD:
take another USB/portable HDD which is as big as the HDD, so you can recover with the option " *.jpg " only the jpeg files...or what file type you need...
if you got luck and your DD did not owerwritten the partition with the deleted files, so you can have luck and recover them! but only if there are not overwritten... try out... needs time if you search on HDD... 10 MB needs 1 minute.... approx...if deleted files are there, too...need more time to scan and recover
