What's with the "I am God" rules you've stated in the sticky? I though tht whole point of the forum was to chat with different people about different things. If people want to take part in a post that induces bickering so be it, that is their choice. Why would you potentially abuse your position and not allow certain posts? I think people should be able to talk about whatever they want. I understand the need for a moderator but I'm not sure about some of the rules you would like to impose.

I'm not trying to cause a big argument, but perhaps a better explanation for some of these rules...

the reason I posted that is to let people posting shit that is not according the rules WBW would like to follow know that I will do whatever it takes to make sure they DO follow the rules.
I have no problem whatsoever with discussions, chatting, or even flaming, but I will not allow it to get out of hand. when it does get out of hand, I step in and use (not ABUSE) the powers that the all mighty Diz gave me. if I don't nobody else will and things will *really* get out of hand! which is something nobody wants.
there have already been some occasion where I had to step in and change things (one way or another) and I dislike doing that more then anyone else as I'm for open discussion and I don't want to hold it back. but not everything is fit to be posted on WBW and I hope you and everybody else, understands that I will do everything in my power to make sure that that shit doesn't have a long lasting life here.

that "bad shit" post had a pic in it of someone who's head was blown away. if you like watching stuff like that I recommend you go to www.rotten.com. WBW is not about that.
it's not because I don't like it, it's because I had SEVERAL requests from members AND crew to remove that topic. and for your memory, I JUST got back from my vacation and this is the first time I'm on WBW again!

if you think that's BullShit, then I recommend you to find some site that doesn't mind posting pics like that and only come to WBW for the women and the cars, the things that boys want.

I don't care if that particular thread was deleted or not but the way you worded your sticky made it sound like it was your decision as a "god". Maybe if you had posted that because of complaints you removed it instead of insinuating that it was an act of "god".

Again, not to be disrespectful, but why can't anyone post pics? Is it just a matter of time to moderate?

jb: nothing in that "bad shit"-thread said that was an act of god. so please explain why you're referring to that?

posting pics is not a matter of time to moderate, it's a matter of having to deal with pro pics (just like in the upload queue where I'm afraid to look as I heard that several ppl still upload thousands of pro pics), with owners of those pics and having to delete them after all, and with dealing with the enormous size of threads, posts and the size of the forum in all.
you have no idea what kind of bandwith WBW is taking up and as you can imagine, the adds, generous donations and sponsored memberships don't make up for that although they do provide for a small part of the money needed.
by asking ppl to link instead of post pics, we decrease the bandwith used by the forum incredibly. please mind that there are and have been threads which have been viewed tens of thousands of times. if there's one pic of 100kb in there which is loaded everytime... well you do the math.

In regards to the Bad Shit post you locked, after reading your sticky it just seemed like it was your decision because you didn't like it. If you would have stated that you were locking the thread because of complains I probably wouldn't have started this one. If there are complaints I understand taking it down (even though I think its retared to complain...if you don't like it don't post and the thread will die by itself).

some threads don't die out, unfortunately. besides that, although we try to watch all threads, it's possible that we miss something. that's where you guys step in .

we don't lock or even delete threads just because we don't like it. there are other threads I don't like aswell but I still keep them open, simply because they don't break the rules.
if we do lock or delete a thread you can be certain there's a GOOD reason for that. we don't bully ppl, we just want a smooth forum. it makes it easier on the mods and better for the public.
