I bought the new Star Wars movie, and tried to play it on my 5.1-equipped computer. All it does when I try to play the movie is show a BIG RED X... WTF is going on?

Read something Burn found that said there's some new anti-piracy shit on it- won't play without some expensive-ass shit.

Try running it through this first.

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm

It's made for dvds. but it should work with videos on your hdd too.

I have intervideo winDVD but it doesn't recognize my 7.1 soundcard, so i use windows media player. You just need to configure the DVD advanced options to choose the output.
