What a finish to a fantastic season!

I have always thought the Premier League was the best league in the world, and for excitement, surely today proved it with the title coming down to the last 2 minutes!

Personally, I wanted city to win it. Just down simply to the fact they are the better team, and owing to man utd's poor performances domestically and in Europe, didn't deserve to win. City were the better team overall, and deserved to win it.

As for 3rd and 4th, again, I think they were deserved. Although spurs fucked up really, being 3rd for ages, and arsenal seem to be only one man, (RVP). If he leaves in the summer, they WILL suffer, as Wenger hates to spend.

My beloved Newcastle sit in a well deserved 5th. We've had a fantastic season, our players have gelled well, and Pardew was recognised for the job well done with Manager of the Season. Krul has been fantastic all season, as has Collocini and Cisse has to be signing of the season. His 13 goals in 14 games is a fantastic return, and of those 13 goals he has scored some crackers. Demba Ba has a release clause this summer, however depending who comes in for him will see if he leaves, surely only for a top four club, as why leave to a team below us, if we can offer european football. His form has suffered Wth the arrival of cisse, so this may detract from serious bidders.

Chelsea have WAY underperformed domestically, shame AVB got the bullet. I really rated him, and still do. I hope they win the CL, simoly because theyre english, and think we should support our teams. I do think DiMatteo should get the job, however he probably won't, just because he's not a big enough name, like that's worked for them previously......(Scolari/Hiddink/Ancelotti/AVB). At least RDM has passion and history with the club, has the support of the fans, and more importantly, the dressing room.....

Everton have finished above Liverpool for the first time in ages, and again, rightfully so. Liverpool have been shocking, due, IMO to 'King' Kennys tactical cluelessness. I don't think he has a Scooby doo what he's doing. Hodgson's record at Anfield was: Played 20, Won 10. He was sacked. Kenny got his 10th win on his 27th game in charge, after spending over £100mil. He surely should move upstairs, and get in a much better person.

Everton meanwhile are doing really well considering the financial constraints. The signing of Jelavic was almost as inspirational as the Cisse signing. Moyes is about to celebrate 10 years in charge also, which is an achievement in itself.

Fulham have done really well, Pogrebnyak being another good signing, along with Clint Dempsey in fantastic form. West Brom have done fantastic, all credit to Hodgson I reckon. He is a tactical genius, and a better choice for England manager than Redknapp. 'Arry is excellent with the media, however tactically, I don't think he is as good as Roy.

Swansea and Norwich, both promoted this season, have done fantastically well. Brendan Rogers is a superb manager, and Swansea have been hard to beat at home all season. Norwich have been hard to beat both home and away, with Grant Holt sticking away some vital goals.

Sunderland have had a resurgence under O'Neill, and tbh I doubt they would of survived had they kept Steve Bruce. Sessegnon looks lively, Gardner and Cattermole are industrious in midfield and Craig Gordon is a quality keeper. Wigan looked dead and buried a few months back, however Martinez turned them round. Gary Caldwell at the back has been immense, as has Emerson Boyce. Rodallega and Moses have played well too.

Aston Villa have had their worst premiership season ever, with fan revolt from the start over the appointment of Ex Birmingham boss Alex 'Big Eck' McLeish. With negative football, injuries to major players, no cash to spend on new transfers and their main source of assists being sold pre season, it wasn't looking too good. Imo, he did what he could with the resources he had. He had to blood many youth players, and they didn't do too bad. Personally I think he should be given another season, it's unfair to judge him when he has no funds, a depleted squad thru injury AND sale. On a side note, for villa fans to name Stephen Ireland as player of the season is ludicrous. Shay Given should of won that.

Qpr had a mixed season. Mark Hughes appointment DEFINATELY saved them, along with signing Djibril Cisse. Joey Barton is just a massive bellend, as he showed again today. Luckily for qpr, Bolton only drew today, sending them down. I feel for Owen Coyle, I liked him, and his approach. Losing Cahill was a big blow too. Just a shame they couldn't do it.

Blackburn, with the Venkys ownership, and not knowing fuck all about football was odd, and I thought Steve Kean had done enough. He was a real trooper I thought, stuck with it through massive protest, and even they went quiet after time. It looked like he had turned them round, unfortunately he hadn't. Losing Samba was a big thing, removing the rock.

Last but not least comes Wolves. Sacking McCarthy when they did was a silly move, they should of done it a lot sooner, or not done it at all. And then not having a replacement lined up was ridiculous. Terry Connor was on a hiding to nothing, he's not a 'manager', just an average coach, and was given a near impossible task. Which was the reason nobody wanted the job, hence why they should of stuck with mick. He at least had something about him.

So, with Reading and Southampton coming up next season, and either Blackpool or West Ham(my money's on the hammers), it makes next season pretty interesting!
