Pimpin your XP

as many users seem to not know the gadgets you can get for your XP to style it a bit, i will give you guys some tools to play with:

First Gadget that i totally love and now couldnt live without it anymore is a so called Dock.

What is a Dock doing?
- A Dock is like a desktop where you can store your Icons and have easy access to them.

Why have a Dock and not a desktop as usual?
- Having 4 windows open at the same time and then needing a desktop icon makes you zip down all 4 windows and then access the icon you wanted to start a program/open a folder/ play a file whatever. WIth a dock, you just need to go to the top/bottom/left/right of your desktop and the dock will pop in to let you click on your Icon.

Nice collection! All those poor XP users will love it, I'm sure...

Another solution to get all this is: buy a Mac

The thing I miss the most in XP are multiple desktops. I have my (currently) 6 virtual desktops in KDE, one having my mail client, one my browser, one my audio player, one my file browser etc.
No cluttering of windows, no clicking away to get at the desktop, just a simple CTRL+TAB (or CTRL+SHIFT+TAB) to switch between destops and applications.


(PS: before TickLes will bash you again, in the "Style XP" part, change costumize to customize )

i did that but i still like my XP too

@woods - I have currently 4 desktops, and a theme made by myself. Can be found from the "post your desktop" thread.
