Let me add "Diner" and "Raising Arizona" to my list.

And I also want to throw my support into the "The Big Lebowski" and "Forbidden Zone" camps (although, admittedly, "Forbidden Zone" isn't exactly what you'd call a good movie -- just very entertaining.)

And, by the way, it is the Big Lebowski with an "e" not Labowski with an "a" -- in case anyone goes looking for it on Net Flix.

I will start.
Poolhall Junkies
Ice Pirates
Dark City
Way of the Gun

title changed for the slow.

Do not worry, I know what you are talking about. I happened to like THE ICE PIRATES (1984). It was an outer space sci fi comedy that dealt with robots, aliens & Humans. I liked the scene that were the Human guy with the Afro was conversing with the robot that was "talking jive". (Remember that scene?) Of course, I really liked the scene with that wierd guy who had his own kingdom, complete with those Amazonian female bodyguards. That kind of reminded me of the movie AMAZON WOMEN ON THE MOON (1987) - another obscure movie that I liked very much. Some more movies include:

ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES (1978)
MONSTROID (or MONSTER) - (1979)
THE FORBIDDEN PLANET (1956)
THE BLACK HOLE (1979)
2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY (1968)
2010: A SPACE ODYSSEY (1984)
CREATURE (1985) "It kills to live...and it lives to kill."
THE LAST STARFIGHTER (1984)
KRULL (1983)
THE HIDDEN (1987)
THE HIDDEN II (1994)
NIGHTWING (1979)
MY SCIENCE PROJECT (1985)
WIERD SCIENCE (1985)
BRAIN DONORS (1992)

These are just a few that I liked, but were not entirely too popular with the general public. You can find out more about these movies on http://www.imdb.com .

hilarious film, got it on dvd. saw a film called "the first $20million is always the hardest" the other night on Sky movies, billed as a revenge of the nerds type comedy. thought it was pretty good.

THE BLACK HOLE (1979)

Many people dis on this movie because they say it was Disney's way of cashing in on the Star Wars craze. Watching it as a child I had no idea. I loved the movie. I even had Black Hole sheets.

Just watched Requiem for a Dream. It's intense for sure. I enjoyed it. I assume it did nothing in the box office. The marketing must of been horrible. I didn't here of the movie untill around 2003.

Added some of your suggestions to my Net Flix queue.

28 Days later good movie. I just hate when people refer to them as Zombies. When I hear that word I think animated corpses. Anyway, it is not the first fast moving "zombie" flick. Return of the Living Dead is.
Another to add to the list 21 Grams.
