Outside of the gapping security holes? The resource hogging? And the poor network that has had more downtime than any of the others (AIM, ICQ, YIM, etc)? I guess because its from M$ and it is inherently evil.

ok...i have YIM too, but i dont like it very much...

MSN hasnt had more Downtime then ICQ, ICQ is the program with the most down time of them all..

Ummmm ICQ hasn't gone down in a long time DH. I use it regularly, over the last 6 years, and I've only had it go down once.

I like the music feature but it only works with media player ... shame

Well.. Here in Europe or in Denmark, there was alot of trouble with it

After searching for a while I cannot find statistics on downtime for IRC, AIM, Yahoo, or Messenger.

However, I have used Messenger for years and have only had a a few days of downtime. BTW, we use it at work so I am on it 10-12 hours per day. I haven't used ICQ or AIM in a couple of years so I have no idea what their service is still like these days. Back then it went down monthly.

is it just me or when i msg someone the msg NEVER goes tru these days

MSN Messenger or windows messenger? MSN Messenger is always down...

Not surprising that BumFuck, Trep, whatever would mention IRC, (which is a decentralized Internet Relay Chat, not an IM) in Instant Messengers.

MSN Messenger = Windows Messenger - Fancy shit.
