Anyone ever start dating their best friend...clearly I mean a girl...It just seems like it could be an awkward transition...anyone have experience/stories of what they did

I tried that, she wasn't my best friend but a friend I had know for a while. It was a little awarked and felt really uncomfortable so we decided to just stay friends I really don't recomending it to anyone.

No but in college I did start up a bit with this one girl who I had become close friends with. It was one of those things where I started to want a relationship with her before she wanted one with me but by the time she came around, I was beginning to realize that we were not good together.

If a girl is truly your best friend and you are attracted to her I would say go for it. Yes, you may lose a best friend if it does not work out but if it works out it has got to be pretty good. Take the chance.

I dunno...I'm at one of those when it rains it pours stages (you guys know, one week ya got no broads, the next there's a few and it's confusing)...anyways long and short is this, I have this girl I am REALLY good friends with, annd a couple my buddies are like dude she's in love with you, I never noticed it really, but I dunno, it's a risk...annnd I was just looking for some insight as to anyone else approached going for it...naturally booze but, , what else

yes I've done this.. when we were 15 I dated my best friend for 3 months I think i fell in love with her however we ended up arguing all the time over stupid things.. eventually we broke up.. we continued to have a sexual relationship but we weren't exclusive.. after about a year of this we ended up in a fight which left us not talking for about a year and a half. then we started talking again recently and it's like it was when we were best friends.
I don't regret going out with her cause she was my first love. however it is a big risk to take cause you could fuck up your friendship.

Just have sex with her dude.

I agree with the wondering of what if. I had a huge crush on one of my best friends in college. She eventually got married and stuff but one of my friends at the wedding told me that she was in love with me way before . Too little too late, I guess. Go for it but not just for sex or that would kill the friendship thing. Well IF she is in love.

Yeah I did. She was my best mate at school, we started dating, even got engaged.

It was really weird at first, kind of awkward, but then we got used to it.

We split up after a few years and have never spoken since. True story.
