Yep.. I remember that night well. Sitting there... drunking away, watching Monday Night Football and hearing Howard Cosell make the announcment. Shocking!! That was kind of a lonely night... feeling really vulnerable. I was never a huge Beatles fan, but Lennon transcended that and grew as a human, an activist and intellectual. To diss this just shouts ignorance about history, people and music. Hopefully Beta671 will find out someday that it's OK to be a man and have feelings about something besides oneself and ones small circle of friends. im glad you posted this BDD he really was a great man. and beta, regardless of what type of music you listen to cuz i listen to it all aside from country, you ned to realize 1. the people who made your music possible and 2. well written lyrics. yeah the music itself was kinda siple back then but that was the point, they wanted life to be simple and peaceful. if it werent for groups like the beatles..which by the way maybe you should look into who influenced whatever bands you listen too i think you might go shoot yourself....modern rock or metal or anything of the sort wouldnt exist so stfu and respect people like john if for no other reason than if it werent for him you wouldnt be listening to what youre listening to now.
