the news and everyone always talks about bad things so they'll feel good about themselves

its sad, they should talk about the good stuff so more people will do it

a wise man indeed.

This is one of the best things ive read here on this site...and i applaud you robin for posting it here
knowing it was a porn site. well done mate

I know that on many occasions I have recieved a certain amount of comfort and support from the people of WBW. In one of the worst times in my life the folks here offered up a lot of sympathy and advise that really helped. The porn is nice, the community is better. The commonality is the porn...and the cars, but it is the smack-talking, the jokes and the ability to ask people you trust and yet have never met (for the most part) if some bullshit is as ridiculous as you think it is. So, I think, that this is not so out of place here at this "porn site".

A related good word goes:

You can tell the measure of a man by how he treats a fellow human that can offer up nothing in return.

Stories like that happen more often than you would believe. You just have to open your eyes a bit more.

Here's a somewhat similar story (albeit slightly different):

This second link, is just for Robin (due to his comment):

man is strongest when he thinks himself weakest... i take it as the most aragant asses of the world in turn are the worst.. the true good people are the ones we over look the ones with disabilities or problems they are true to who they are. they dont need to be someone they are not or put on a show or be mr tuff guy. they are true and have true compassion.

also when i was younger i would travel to a family camp ground at the beach and there was a handicapped kid there around my age in a wheel chair (motorized) and he was also mildly mentally handicapped. well i would always play foot ball with him and my other friends would also. he would always go with his family many times during the summer. and i will always remember him as a great friend. and one summer some ass hole kids were making fun of him and i happen to see it. so i confronted them and yea they beat the shit out of me but the point is i stood up where he couldnt. next year after that i saw his family and he did pass but i will never forget him and the impact that one person had on me ....

oh and very good story very touching thanks
