Yes. Hurts like the hell the first day or two afterwords. It is better than shaving though, I think.

I think the main thing is how sensitive your skin is and how many times/how often you've shaved.

There wasn't much itching for me either. A little, but putting baby powder on it helped. but there's none now. Been shaving for almost two years.
