How do you search someone's facebook friend list?

I am not asking how to look AT the list, since anyone can do that so long as it's not set to private, and in this case neither the person's profile or friend list is private. Most of what I got when I googled this said how to do it if the list was private. I need to know how to search someone else's list by a name-which is a local band they're friends with in this case-without going through all (literally) 2k of the friends on this person's list. I only know one word of the band's name, so I can't just search for them on their own.

Also, how do I do a search for someone by city? Say I went to high school with a guy named Arthur Thompson. Okaaaaaay, well, how do I maybe narrow it down to Arthur Thompsons who live in my city? Tried but couldn't find a way.

So you know that person is friend with a band, but you don't know the band's name? A band would not appear in their Friend's list anyway but on the list of Likes. I'm not sure what you are searching for, the band full name?

In the search bar just type "Arthur Thompson who lives in City", it will autocomplete with the bolded keywords.

The search function on Facebook seems to work like Google. You don't need to write structured sentences, you just need to use the main words.

So simply by typing 'Arthur Thompson Missouri' will bring up a list of Arthur Thompsons (or similar) who have Missouri in their profile. This could be where they live, where they work or where they went to school, so it's not fool proof but should narrow your search down quite significantly.
