I was reading Jawz thread about holiday treats and got to thinking. I've got a big annual campout coming up in a few weeks and was wondering if any of you had any drink recipes that you would like to share that maybe I could try out. Its gonna be freezing cold so anything warm or hell anything you think would work just give me the recipe. Hot spiced cider and coffee I know but what else to you suggest. Can't wait to see what some of you can come up with.

Baileys in hot coffee.
If you don't necessarily need something hot, brandy is a good winter drink. And if you live in the UK (or have a nice friend there to buy you some) Winter Pimm's in eggnog is splendid.
And if you just can't get cold enough, hang around outside with your Jameson's and Baileys sitting in a snow drift. Mix over ice and drink. But be warned: if all that snow and ice isn't involved, the Baileys will curdle the second it touches the whisky and you'll vomit the second it touches your tongue.

Hunch punch! It might not be served warm but will sure warm you up! Im not sure the exact recipe but I know it involves Ever Clear grain alcohol and other liqours and fruit juice and fruit slices. Im sure you could google Hunch Punch. You will sure warm up after a couple of drinks!

Hot apple cider, Vodka and Cinnimon flavoring. Stoli no longer makes Zinimon stoli. But it's goood.

Anyway, for a drink to keep you warm that contains alcohol AND is served hot, I have a personal favorite.
6 oz coffee prepared how you USUALLY drink it
2 oz Kahlua
2 oz bailey's irish cream
Top with whipped cream and serve

wish i still had the recipe for homemade kahlua that my ex-gf's step mom always made for the holidays...remember it had everclear in it and it always packed a punch in coffee....and i reread the title and got a good laugh after i sat there for a second and realized what ya meant

I think this may be the recipe you mean. I only had it twice, but it was AWESOME! I haven't tried to make it yet, though.
HOMEMADE KAHLUA
4 c. sugar
1 qt. water
2 1/2 oz. Tasters Choice instant coffee
1 qt. water
2 oz. pure vanilla extract
1 fifth 95% etoh (Everclear)
1/2 fifth brandy (Christian Bros.)
Heat sugar and water until sugar dissolves. (Do not boil.) Heat instant coffee and water until boiling. Mix sugar and coffee mixtures together. Cool to room temperature. Add vanilla, everclear and brandy. Makes 1 gallon of Kahlua.
P.S.
I knew you didn't mean it that way, but it was a good laugh. I knew somebody would have to eventually read it that way.
