Homebrewing

Let's face it, everyone loves beer. Well, just about everyone. But there are few of us who truly appreciate the dedication that goes into every savory, delicious drop. We are the Homebrewers.

I've been brewing for about 4 years and have a couple of really good ones I'd love to share if anyone is interested, so let me know.

So, anyone else have any good recipies?

I learned my lesson about messing around with this stuff years ago - tried to make some ginger beer, only to have the stuff explode and spread itself on the roof, walls, floor...

Some of my friends do it, though, with pretty good results. Kudos to anyone who's got the patience to make it work.

My friend also made a ginger beer, but the stuff was terrible. I've never heard of a batch turning out properly, so I avoid it like the plague.

just made homemade cider, much harder to do then beer, it came out pretty good the second time.
% there are about 5,6 so that´s not so bad too

Have made about 4 times beer and have allways gone right with that, very good to drink.
Have been using just Finnish brew kits,

Have to say about the first time i made cider...... the teast wasen´t good, it tasted like water, but there was kick in it, about 8.9% so you didn´t need to drink so many

yes, who is it, and I must agree that avatar is gross.

Before children, I used to brew all the time. We would boil two large batches, sometimes 3, of wurt in crab boiling pots (usually a bock, wheat & or red) and then when fermenting we would combine into an additional bucket add a little extra water to all. We would have a third more beer and more styles of beer all great and powerful. I always thought the complex taste of the combo was best. I also find the longer its aged the better. I always save one large bottle to drink and share at the next brewing session.

Two summers ago, a friend and I went out picking wild fruit and made wine from it. It was disgusting, even after we'd left it eight months and we followed all the instructions. I might try cider next as it's my favourite drink

My uncle makes elderflower presse, adds some co2 to make some soft drinks (light and refreshing taste!)and lets some it ferment so he has elderflower wine, nice stuff, and blows you away! Quite sweet though!

wine is very hard to make so that it taste good, very hard!

I had a professor in college who brewed his own shit. It was decent too. As someone above said though, I don't have the patience for it.
