Someone mentioned they liked Uriah Heep awhile back. My first thought was this band in the same era. Who are they? I bet The Distraught boys know. Hint: Cleveland Rocks.

Damn, I'm stumped! The 2 guys on the right look familiar, too! Oh well. I live about 3 hours from Cleveland, so I don't keep up on all the bands who ever came from there.
Wild Cherry (the band that recorded Play That Funky Music), on the other hand, are from Mingo Junction, Ohio, about 40 minutes from home though. Rock on Wild Cherry, rock on...
Within 30 minutes from my small town you can also find the origins of Bill Mazzeroski, Joe Niekro, and Phil Niekro of MLB fame, Joey Galloway, Ben Taylor, Eddie Drummond, and Lance Mehl from the NFL, John Havlichek of the NBA's Boston Celtics, and several up-and-coming stars.
Oh and for those of you who like country music, Brad Paisley lives just down the road from us as well.
The Ohio Valley, guys, I gotta tell ya it's boring, but it's full of talent for some reason...
