Free music downloads

Sorry if I appear a total nOOb but where is the best place to get free music downloads?

Just so you know., I mainly use the net at work and its not possible to download a large shareware app on this pc.

Any help would be greately appreciated.

Thanks but I was looking for more of a massive search engine kazaa type thing that is free. Is there such a thing?

to tell the truth, I don't know what I am looking for but I know what I want.

I want to be able to download full tracks so I can build up a music collection. EG download an old madness album for example then burn it to cd.

Like i said, sorry for appearing like a dimlo. I shall try espew.com in the meantime.
