Improved Mac OS X support. Also claims to fix "several memory leaks". Thats why web developers and users love FireFox, they listen to users and fix bugs. Here ya go... http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/releases/1.5.0.1.html

More or less this should be submitted to one of the news mods, but I already did like 30 min ago, but until it's posted, this should give everyone a heads up

Advantages to Firefox

* Security: Using Firefox will block many websites from trying to install spyware and other mal-ware from getting onto your computer, which is a common problem with other browsers.
* Popup blocking: Firefox has a very good built in popup blocker that blocks all those annoying popups when you open up a web page.
* Advanced Features: Firefox has many advanced features like tabbed browsing (click to learn about tabbed browsing) that has all of your open pages in tabs in one window instead of having every page on a different window.
* Extensions: Firefox has many useful extensions and plugins (click to learn how to install plugins). They are add-ons to the browser that adds functionality. They can be anything from a new tool bar to a text-to-speech converter.
* Excellent Interface: Firefox has a clean, simple interface that makes it easier to use and work on slower machines. The browser only come with the essentials that makes it less prone to crashing, easier to use, and function better on older or slower computers.
* It’s FREE!!

I just like it cause, no pop ups, when I click my wheel on a link it opens in a new tab, and when I click my wheel on a tab, it closes it.
It's better than IE when you have to either hold shift and click to open in a new window, or right click and open in a new window. But then you've got 10 explorers in the task bar. So annoying.

The memory leaks were supposed to be fixed. It's not killing my computer just running it,but it is using a lot of memory.(right now it's up to 370MB)

It really doesn't bother me though, as long as it doesn't move slowly.

Yeah, I had the install information yesterday. I don't know if it's me, but it seems much faster than the last version. Much stable.

never had the slightest problem with the memory leaks that have been around since day1.
But the big advantage of ff is that its dumb. There is no activex to get hijacked. The other advantage/disadvantage are the themes and extensions. They are 3rd party so when Jonny student who made the best extension/theme you ever saw gets a job/goes to jail, no more updates. Thats the reason im still on 1.0.7. No point in "upgrading" to something that doesnt do what i want.

Thats the same crappy reason some retards are still using IE 5.x. They don't release updates just for the hell of it. The last release had a big security patch - thats reason enough for me!

It is an improvement. But as I alluded to earlier - "Also claims to fix several memory leaks". I should have included the phrase "your mileage will vary". I am confident they will "tidy things up" in the next few weeks/months.
