Alrighty, here we go. What i'm looking for this time is your favorite rib recipes. If you like to bbq and have some tips share them with us all. Do you prefer a dry rub or wet sauce? What's your favorite way to cook them? Lets see those recipes and see what we get.

A little something that I do sometimes, soak them overnight in bourbon and apple juice before you cook them.

SWEET BABY RAY'S BBQ BABY RACK RIBS

22 1/2 inch Weber grill
Grease pan
10 lb. bag charcoal
8 oz. apple, cherry or hickory chips soaked in water
Rib rack
4 slabs baby back ribs, 1 1/2 lbs., down
16 oz. Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce
Salt
Fresh ground pepper
Onion salt
Basting brush

Cooking time: 2 - 2 1/2 hours.

Put 52 coals in center of grill and burn for 30 minutes. Then put 26 coals on each side and put grease pan in middle of grill basin. Season both sides of skinned ribs generously with salt, pepper and onion salt. Stand ribs on rib rack in center of grill and cook for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rotate ribs, inside to outside, and from top to bottom.

Add soaked wood chips and six charcoal briquettes to each side of coals. After 30 minutes, rotate ribs again. Check ribs every 15 minutes and rotate when necessary. Ribs are cooked when you can penetrate them easily with a fork (about 2 hours). When ribs are tender, remove them from rack and place the ribs upside down in center of grill.

Generously brush Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce on ribs and place ribs side by side, 2 high, in center of grill. Cover and cook for 10 minutes. Turn ribs over, apply sauce to top of ribs and cook another 10 minutes. Then serve and enjoy!

EASY AND TENDER BABY BACK RIBS

1 rack of baby back ribs
1 bottle of "Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce"

This is the best way I have found to make baby back ribs that are probably the best tasting ribs I have ever tasted, and the method is so simple that anyone can do it.

First, buy a rack of ribs, and cut it into about 3 chunks, so that it will fit into a pot. Fill the pot with water and bring it to a boil.

Place the ribs sections into the pot and boil it for 45 minutes.

After the ribs boil for 45 minutes, take them out and place them in a large rectangular casserole baking dish and smother them with BBQ sauce (I like "Sweet Baby Ray's" brand, but you can use whatever kind you like best).

Cover them with tinfoil and refrigerate for several hours. Remove from refrigerator and cook them in the oven on 250°F for 3 hours, then remove the tinfoil from the top, and broil them for 5-10 minutes for a crispy top.

If you don't want to broil them, put them on a hot grill for several minutes and grill until top is crispy.

The only thing about this recipe is that it takes planning. I usually boil them on Saturday night, put BBQ sauce on them, cover and refrigerate, then take them out on Sunday morning and put them in the oven.

I'm trying this one tomorrow

Smoky-Flavored Barbequed Ribs straight out of Betty Crocker Slow Cooker Cookbook

3 1/2 lbs pork loin back ribs (we've used other varieties as well, and they're just as tasty)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
3 tbsps. liquid smoke (we used hickory flavored)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp salt
1 medium onion, sliced
1/2 cup cola (we used regular Coca-Cola)
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce (we're addicted to Stubbs spicy)

1. Spray the inside of a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray.
2. Remove inner skin from the ribs. Mix brown sugar, pepper, liquid smoke, garlic and salt together in a bowl and rub this mixture onto the ribs. Cut ribs into 4 inch pieces, then layer ribs and onion in the slow cooker. Pour cola over everything.
3. Cover and cook on a low heat setting for 8-9 hours or until ribs are tender (believe me, they're tender by then). Remove the ribs from slow cooker, and drain and discard the liquid.
4. Pour the BBQ sauce into a shallow bowl. Dip each of the rib pieces into sauce. Return the ribs to the slow cooker. Pour any remaining sauce over the ribs, then cover and cook on low for 1 hour.

dont really do ribs..

but when we do BBQ's we pretty much only have steaks and chicken...oh, and snags

the steak i just love it cooked real well, sometimes even till crispy :P
use a wine based sauce, with herbs like coriander etc..

the chicken, i usually like to leave marinating for a while in mustard sauce, with lemon and herbs..

Never cooked ribs on the BBQ, in fact i've only found one restaurant that i even like their ribs, Montgomery Inn, its in Cincinnati, Ohio. They make a killer rib, and they sell the sauce they use also. I really need to take a road trip and get me some...

You don't know good ribs until you come down south to Memphis and have some ribs. We also have the world famous Dreamland's BBQ http://www.dreamlandbbq.com/ that started here in Tuscaloosa, AL. As for your taste in steak Latino...can't believe you burn the shit out of it. Anything over medium rare sucks.

Being from Texas, which outside of Memphis is probably one of the best know places for BBQ and I have to say the only way to cook ribs is a dry rub. Putting some thick sauce on them just ruins it for me. I keep it pretty simple, just some pepper, salt, cayenne, cumin, paprika, garlic salt, brown sugar, and then the secret is a really thin layer of molasses to help really caramelize the outside.

I totally agree, anything over medium rare is a travesty to the meat. Like anything thats overcooked, steak loses flavor fast. I worked at a steakhouse for a while, and it saddens me to see how many people like steak well done. O well, to each his own.

i'm wondering, what if i cook them slowly in a crockpot with a dry rub with a little moisture...probably bourbon and coke...and then put them on a grill with a wet sauce for like 10 mins...what do u think

that it does...i'm still trying to get this one man to come cook for me...he was the old black man that used to cook for my fraternity that made the best ribs anyone has put in their mouth...all you give him is a half case of budlight and $20 and he will cook and clean whatever you want...he listen to classic rock and hit up his blunt every now and then...i'm tell you that you've never tasted better, if i had a store and him cooking you could make tons of money...he never would tell us what he did to them but the meat fell off the bone and he would do it all day long

i smoke mine... with applewood... in a gas smoker....

2 hours on 250 degress with applewood smoke chips.
2 hours wrapped in aluminium foil and drenched in apple juice @ 250 degrees
1 hour unwrapped @ 250 degrees with sweet baby rays honey bbq in the last 30 min....

that's for baby backs , spare ribs have to be 3-2-1 to make them fall off the bone...

not sure what th eapple juice does to the ribs but it makes them fall off the bone , i also use apple-sauce in the burgers when making them..it keeps them moist , btw you don't taste any of the apple juice.
