im looking to shrink a movie file that i made on my digital camera , the file seems to be about a 120mb. is there a way that i can compress this file for easier uploading ? if not thats cool but if there is . can someone point me in the right direction as to what programs i will need, and a quick how to , thanks in adavance

Convert it to another format with better compression specs. Like H264, Xvid, DivX, with a reasonable bitrate. Depending on the resolution, framerate, audio quality, you can get away with under one megabit bitrate. You can find freeware FFMPEGX.
Personally for me, anything under 853×460px @ 30fps I use 1500kbps (two-pass) with 192kbps for audio.
