fighting the spam monster

anyone know of any good free anti spam programs? I have adawear but it still misses a bunch.

Its it on webpages ? What webpages are yo uvisiting ? You can download some proigram for the Firefox from Mozilla that stops the popups..

its actually my girlfriends computer....everytime I use her laptop and connect to the internet 10 pop up ads jump up at me! really annoying. they could be from sites....but no one ever searches for porn or anything on that computer..... any answers?
