I'm one of the moderators over at www.fantasybaseballuk.com, which is a free salary-cap game. It isn't roto - you can choose who you like, within a $12m salary budget, and weekly player revaluations are run throughout the year. We've got a fantasy forum with various stuff going on, a chatroom, polls, that kind of thing. It was set up four years ago with mainly UK fans in mind, and is plugged regularly on the Channel Five Baseball Show in the UK, but we had over 4,000 teams last year with a big international contingent and a lot of our 12,000+ members are from overseas - actually, one of our main guys is from Austin TX, and I myself will be a native of North Canton OH in about two months from now.

So if anyone out there is looking for something a little different to what they're usually involved with, swing by and take a look. Rosters will be available for selection on Sunday March 25th, but the site's open for registration and exploration right now.

Any questions or queries, drop me a private message or something.

Cheers

Luke

P.S I know there are a few guys on this forum that play the game already...don't be strangers, fellas.
P.P.S I hope this shameless plug is OK to be posted up here. I'm not advertising here, everything's literally free.

I think I'm in the wrong business. Given the amount of shameless sports forum/news/fantasy league spam I think that's the way to go . By the way you won't be a native of Ohio just because you move there, you'd be a resident.

It isn't spam if it's free, Big J. Plus if it was, it would have been deleted by now.

And I would be a native of Ohio if I lived there, moved away, and moved back.

Actually I signed up... I've never played in a salary cap league before. Its not easy trying to build a team with so little $$$. That is, you can't have but 1 or 2 big names at most. If anyone else signs up, I'm in the Angels Division.

I already have 4 teams, that's enough for me.

I almost picked up another Yahoo team yesterday, then I realized that 2 there, plus one at this UK site is plenty. Ours is a daily league, so I will be spending even more time than last year on Fantasy Baseball.

All of mine are daily. I was going to do 3 but the last league needed one more manager to make it 12 so I told them if they couldn't find anyone else I would do it.

YellowM and Frodobus, good to have you on board boys. 1669 teams so far and counting.

Prior out again for the year. What a run of bad luck for him and Wood. They were the next Schilling/Johnson, just a few years back.
