First arrest: DUI
Second Arrest: Violation of probation and evading a police officer
Third arrest: Assault and battery, trespassing, vandalism and inciting a riot ... forgot public intoxication

All in all, probably almost two weeks in jail. All before turning 21. I'm now 38 and have hardly had a speeding ticket since then. Did the jail time straighten me up? No! My old man died and I was forced to grow up a bit.

Been to jail at age 18&half, yes 5 years...for selling drugs and Guns shit like that, 3 for Drugs...2 years for the guns , i was looking at 10 years! Good thing i had $550,500CAD Grand in the bank, payed the lawyers $50,000CAD still got 5 years over the 10years, I Confussed and they give me 5 years. just got out in dec 2006.

Well the first time i went to jail the crime was committed the day after my 18th b-day I stole a truck at my b-day party completely drunk (there was about 300 people) and passed out in the truck behind a gas station a cop tried waking me up then i realized who it was so i started up the engine and took him on a chase (in a 4 cylinder dodge dakota) for about 10 miles then launched the truck off a bridge - the cop followed - swam through a swamp and hiked for 6 hours and got away from the cops for a good 4 months then my big mouth told a not so good friend and he snitched then i did 2 years and doing 12 years probation for grand theft auto and evading the police. the second time was for wreckless driving which i did 120 days - I was ripping my 72 cutlass through sleeping neighborhoods and was coming around a 90 degree turn sideways at about 80mph and landed with my back bumper on top of a police car ( which I totalled) then they beat the shit out of me and I woke up in jail with a broken jaw and a impounded cutlass with a bill of $1700. i have since kept my ass out of trouble for over a year and am keeping it that way.

As a juvenile I was in jail several times. I had been arrested at least 10 times, and once (my last time) I was arrested on something insane like 12 felony counts, one of which was a Federal charge. They later dropped that charge.

Luckily it was all when I was a minor with the last being when I was 17. By the time I was 20, I was totally off probation, had gotten my GED and then got my actual High School diploma, and went into the military. After the military I took some time off and then went to college and got two degrees along with national honors in both areas.

I've since owned my own company, and now am looking at settling down and finding a permanent gig as a teacher (History).

The reason I'm rambling is so someone reading this might think it over, and realize that some people just need a little more time to sort things out. I don't know what would have happened if the people around me (mom especially) had ever given up on me, but I sure the fuck wouldn't be a teacher.

That's for damn sure.

Jail food sucks and there's never enough of it. The medical care is a joke. Your podmates are almost all dicks. The ones that aren't are usually somebody's bitch and you'll get your ass beaten and raped for talking to them. The air is stale and humid. You're lucky to get 2 books a week to read from the library cart. And for any reason, or none at all, you can find yourself standing in the hallway in cue for a strip search while they rip your living space apart in search of "contraband".

yea , dui , plus the fact i was underage , still am , im on probation tell 4/25/08 , cant wait to get off it , but lucky , what sucks is im still waiting for the court case for my license and its been 8 months since i have been arrested , so hopfully that will slip threw the cracks , other wise , i have stop drinking and im 99% of the time my friends desintated driver , i just dont want to see my friend end up like i did , since they are alcholics and well im not , but o well , i am a pothead and the other night i thought i was going to get caught because the people in the upstair apartment got shot from a drive by car, and me and my roommate where smoking a hell of alot and well , i went out to the car to get my radio and saw two cops in the other apartment and one came out right in front of me , man i was i scared.

4. obstruction of justice
5. DUI/ PCS
6. fleeing and attenpting to elude a peace officer (twice)

Never went to county spend maybe a total of a week in local police jails for all offenses.......
