Droogs?

So ah.. I'm a member of many forums. I'm also familiar with many other forums. They all have names for themselves.

And so on.

So I was thinking to myself what a member of WBW was. I've decided we're all "Droogs."

This term of course, comes from Clockwork Orange which is a social and political commentary film by Stanley Kubrick - it features lots of crass and sassy raunchy behavior, violence, sex, and an overwhelming presence of high intellect. It's also and international term (or at least not exclusively American and is certainly more central to European culture than to American culture - we never used these terms), and could help represent the diversity of our membership.

Droog means "friend" as far as I can find out, and that sort of works for us I think.

What say you, guys? We be Droogs?

Plus Droog sounds kinda retarded to be honest. "I'm a droog." Just doesn't sound well to me.

I know that Dave Mustaine, of Megadeth, refers to all his fanclub members as "Official Droogies"..

So, unfortunately, you aren't the first to consider this...

Probably true. But he didn't apply it to us here at WBW.

So let me rephrase. "You're now Droogs. This is what I intend to call you and refer to you all as. This thread can be used as a point of reference to explain why I refer to all the gang as droogs from now on.

A little band-wagoning wouldn't hurt, but I'll hoe this row alone if need be.
