Direct TV

Considering getting Direct TV.,.. anyone have any comments in favor or against it???? thanks!

I have it! If you can afford it, Get Tivo! It's worth it..My relatives who live in different cities and are certified couch potatoes have different companies and as an informal, unscientific observer, I like Direct TV's menus set-up and index functions better than Dish TV, Comcast and AT&T..But get the Tivo man!

Would be cool iff upn was streaming.I`am thinking off buying a satalite,couse there is a way to get more channels :P
That way i could cut down me monthly downloads.

DTV is harder to hack....I'm actually paying for it. Dish on the other hand is wide open and great. I pay for DTV because it has all my football games. Quality is good and the channel package is superior but Dish is better for audio quality and reliability. If youre a football freak like me, you must have DTV tho. And the PPV section blows Dish away, totally! Other than that, they are both good, comparatively speaking!

YEAH..THIS YEAR WAS THE FIRST YEAR DIRECT TV SENT OUT NEW PROGRAMMING CARD TO SUBSCRIBERS..TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE PRE-SEASON BEGAN IN AUGUST..MY BROTHER IN LAW AT HP USED TO HACK ALL OF THAT STUFF FOR ME..NOT NO MORE..NOW HE DON'T EVEN GET THE REGULAR DIRECT TV..

Hard to hack the new cards. The football cards were easier.

the H-stream was a joy....HU wasnt even that bad til the release of the damn P4 card....been there , done that, now its too much work so I'm being a good boy and paying for it
