One example is the testimony of Sabah Khodada, a captain in the Iraqi army who emigrated to Texas in May after working for eight years at what he described as a terrorist training camp at a bend in the Tigris River just southeast of Baghdad."

According to the Times, Khodada described the camp as "a highly secret installation" where "non-Iraqi Arabs from Persian Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia" received training in "assassinations, kidnapping, hijacking of airplanes, hijacking of buses, hijacking of trains, and all other kinds of operations related to terrorism."

In comments unmentioned by the Times but covered by PBS, Khodada said that when he saw the twin towers fall he thought to himself, "This was done by graduates of Salman Pak."

Wonder what the war on Iraq number would look next to how much we spend on the war on drugs, welfare, and even SS (which by the time I retire I won't even be able to get though I've been paying for it for years). If the war on Iraq is costing us so much money, then how is it that the economy is growing the fastest it has in years? Yes I know it'll grow quickly after 9/11, but we're almost back to where we should be, but the fact is that it is growing. Gas prices have nothing to do with the war, it's all OPEC so blame them not Bush.

On to Sadaam. I don't know how someone can say he's not a threat when he cuts checks to the families of suicide bombers. WMD? Who cares, he didn't say he didn't have them even if our intelligence was flawed. My opinion is that they're either in the middle of the desert somewhere or shipped to another country. Also you cannot blame Bush exclusivly for that since Clinton, Bush Sr., Blair, and even the UN made the same statements regarding Sadaam's WMD. I'm not a huge fan of policing the world and don't think we'd do it unless there was some sort of national interest (which in this case it's security), but atleast we're getting in, establishing control and getting out.

Ok I had to step in; Kimatrix, you are very right about the news, I listen to multiple news outlets some from the USA, and others via internet and shortwave. I have many friends in the military,and as contractors to the government. The Iraq war was for a very good reason, G.W Bush made a decision, based on the intellagence given, was it flawed? Intell is the calculated guesses from the information avalible, no more no less.What most people are forgetting is 9/11. The American people see things in a different light now, there is a under current of anger that has not been satisfied, and just as japan discovered after pearl habor all that was done was to awake the sleeping giant, one that is pissed and carries a big stick, Americans as a society are not nice people we are violent and we don't care what others think. I think the mass graves that are being found are the best justification for the war. Where are the WMD's? that is the question that scares the hell out of me, but we will find them and step on the little bug that has them. As to Bosnia, where was America? Well you will have to ask the previous administration as to why, they failed to act when they should have. As to politics of the U.S. well I have problems with them at times myself but I know there has not been a better system that works yet. Ok enough politics bring the naked babes,

I'm with you miztik, I was trying real hard not to go off on a rant. My main point is that after 9/11, America as a nation thinks different and we carry a big stick and we will use it
